Norristown's Arts Hill Community Arts Open House is back! Join us on September 23, from 10am to 4pm for this incredible art-centric block party between Lafayette Street and Airy Street. Arts Hill will feature FREE admission to Centre Theater's Charles L. Blockson Exhibition, live animal encounters courtesy of Elmwood Park Zoo, local artisans selling handcrafted wares, a Jazz Brunch hosted by Theatre Horizon and amazing offerings from the area businesses like Five Saints Distilling, Good Vibes Cafe, Creativa Event Planners, the Jewelry Exhange, Iron Tattoo and Rotation Records. And at the newly opened Schuylkill River Trail Junction, there will be a Recycle Read Repeat book fair, Expressive Path interactive arts exhibtion, offerings by Von C Brewing, and live performaces by Lets Link L8r!

Born in Norristown in 1933, Charles L. Blockson was world renowned for his expertise in Black genealogy and the Underground Railroad. His collection (featuring rare books, current periodicals, letters, photographs, artifacts and memorabilia) was amassed throughout his life-spanning career as a historian, bibliophile and author.
