Please take your time and scroll through the collage of photos below. We are so pleased with the way 2016 has turned out and it is all thanks to you, thanks to our sponsors, thanks to the performs, thanks to our board and to everyone who has generously donated to the ‘new’ Centre Theater. As most of you know, we were shut down for almost all of 2015 when lightening literally struck the building. A fundraiser, which was held just up Arts Hill at Theatre Horizon, allowed us to reopen our doors in November, just a little more than a year ago. We were lucky enough to have CCATE, the Center for Culture, Arts, Training and Education move into our third-floor space, providing us with an instant burst of life into the building. We then met with two young men from Starving Artist Prevention, Matt Durkin and Steve Ziegler, and they began booking comedy nights for the fourth floor. From there, as they say, the rest is history. We had more than 1,800 patrons come through our doors in 2016, and that was with just one or two shows a month. We’re looking forward to doubling that number in 2017, with two complete months, March and June already booked and our first comedy night already on the calendar for Jan. 21,we’re well on our way, but we’ll need your help once again. Please take a moment to help support the Centre Theater, our music school, and our soon to be opened children’s movie theater, by sending what you can to The Centre Theater, 208 DeKalb St., Norristown, PA 19401. Thank you once again, and we hope to see you next year at the theater!
